The Victorian Healthcare Association (VHA) is the major peak body representing Victoria's public healthcare sector. Our members include public hospitals, rural and regional health services, community health services and aged care facilities.

The VHA is dedicated to ensuring that Victoria is a world leader in healthcare. Through analysis of relevant health and social policy, the VHA aims to have a clear position on the important issues at a state and federal level that will impact on the health of Victorians. In 2012, the VHA wiil continue the development of sector-leading intellectual property, informed by our members' experiences and our own research projects.

Core Values
The VHA represents, advocates, educates, evaluates, researches and communicates health policy work using an evidence-based approach that is non-partisan and transparent to our members.

These ideals are reflected in all VHA communications to members, government, politicians, the health sector, academics, the media and other peak bodies.

The VHA's strategic focus centres around six key policy areas that form the building blocks of an effective public healthcare system:
* funding reform
