The Leadership Breakfast was developed in recognition of the pivotal role health professionals play in mandating changes within their organisations/partnerships and in the creation of an authorising environment for change.
This breakfast has been organised in recognition of the importance of leadership to the successful implementation of organisational and inter-agency change management.
Presentations will focus on the importance of leadership in cultivating the right environment for systems reform and continuous quality improvement.
Mr Simon Overland, Chief Commissioner of Victoria Police will be the keynote speaker. He will talk about the role of leadership in implementing reforms in the Victoria Police. Ms Rosie Rowe, Director, Community Services and Allied Health, Western District Health Service, Hamilton, will present an example of inspirational leadership in relation to chronic disease management.
The Leadership Breakfast is an initiative of the DHS Integrated Chronic Disease Management Workforce Development Strategy.
