This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic person with a strong commitment to a self-management approach to fill this newly created position.

Working with an interesting and varied client group and as part of a dynamic, supportive team, this position will be responsible for establishing and delivering a smoking cessation service at Inner South Community Health Service.  Specific training and support around smoking cessation will be provided.

ISCHS is seeking an enthusiastic General Practitioner, with a commitment to social justice, interested in working in a non-traditional setting. The incumbent will work as part of a GP/Practice Nurse team, delivering outreach primary health services to marginalised clients in St. Kilda and South Melbourne.

The GP Innovations Project is a pioneering initiative that aims to meet the needs of the most marginalised populations in the inner south. The program offers primary health care to people who are homeless (or at risk) from a range of locations where homeless people congregate. The targeted client group has poor health status and low levels of engagement with traditional primary health services.  The GP / Practice Nurse team currently provides clinical primary health care from Sacred Heart Mission (St Kilda) and Hanover Welfare Services (South Melbourne).
