The Victorian Healthcare Association’s Clinical Governance project in partnership with Latrobe University has developed a tertiary unit to ensure the project's lessons are sustained in the community health sector and to promote clinical governance in community based services. The School of Public Health, Faculty of Health Sciences at LaTrobe University will be offering the new unit, PHE3/4CQM Applied Quality & Safety in Health and Community Services in 2010.
The subject is available either as a unit as part of a postgraduate course undertaken in the School of Public Health or as a single unit. The unit is suitable for service providers and managers of health and community services. The unit, while offered at postgraduate level, has been designed to include entry to those who may not have a recognised undergraduate degree. The unit will be available in 2010 as the City Campus (215 Franklin Street) in Semester 1 on Wednesday evenings 5.30-8.30 pm. In future years the subject is likely to be offered as a summer intensive block mode in February.
The application for enrolment to the unit is in two parts:
Part one: generic university application
Part two: department specific application
For information on how to enrol please contact Margaret Amarant on m.amarant@latrobe.edu.au or 9479 3973.
