Events Coordinator

Role description 

At the VHA I help coordinate the major events including the VHA Conference and the Health Minister’s State Budget Lunch, as well as supporting some of the smaller face to face member events. These events are important opportunities for us to engage with our members, government officials, and other important stakeholders across the healthcare sector. 

What is your career background and what brought you to the VHA? 

I have over 13 years of experience in events management, managing events in the not-for-profit, corporate and charity sectors. My career has taken me from Sydney to London and Melbourne organising complex high-profile events, from Parades, Boat Launches, Sailing Regattas to Conferences and Gala Dinners. I have a keen interest in public health and health promotion having completed bachelor’s degree in nutrition while raising my young family, which attracted me to use my varied experience to benefit the amazing work of the VHA. 

What is your favourite place you’ve travelled? 

My favourite place I have travelled is the island of Gozo off the coast of Malta, it was a beautiful island and not too touristy with amazing buildings, landscape and architecture.
