Role description
In my role as Policy Advisor, I work closely with our members to understand the factors impacting their services and ensure they are informed of sector updates and reforms. I gather insights from across the state and federal public healthcare landscape to inform the VHA’s policy direction.
What is your career background and what brought you to the VHA?
I spent several years in Aotearoa New Zealand working in various policy roles. Most recently, I worked in several Government and private roles focused on Māori econimic development through investment and policy arms.
I was drawn to the VHA while chasing the bright lights of Melbourne as I’m passionate about the not-for-profit sector. My passion has mixed well with my interest in public health and its growing importance in our everyday lives.
What is your favourite place you’ve travelled?
My favourite place I’ve travelled too (outside of my kiwi bias) is Albania. Beautiful place, lovely people.
