VHA Leadership

Kate Linton

General Manager – Corporate Services

Role description

I lead VHA’s corporate services and Communications and Engagement functions, enabling strong governance, financial sustainability and effective, member-focused delivery across the organisation.

What is your career background and what brought you to the VHA?

I’m a CPA with over 30 years’ experience across commercial and not-for-profit sectors. My career has taken me through hospitality, property, and infrastructure, before moving into senior leadership roles in social enterprises, health, philanthropy, and child and youth services. I hold a Master’s in Social Investment and Philanthropy and was drawn to the VHA because I believe accessible, sustainable healthcare is a cornerstone of a healthy society, and I wanted to support members delivering essential health services.

What are your favourite inspirational quotes?

"The greatest investment a society can make is in the health of its people." – Kofi Annan, former UN Secretary-General

Or

“To succeed in life, you need three things: a wishbone, a backbone and a funny bone.” — Reba McEntire
