Updates to the Integrity Governance Framework

< back to projects >

In 2018-19, the VHA’s Australian Centre for Healthcare Governance was commissioned by the (then) Department of Health and Human Services to develop an integrity governance capability framework and action plan, as well as a self-assessment tool, for Victorian health services.

The framework represents key guidance for publicly funded health services to ensure they deliver services in a responsible and ethical manner, in a way that delivers value for money and actively mitigates the risk of fraud and corruption.

Since the development of the integrity governance tools, government and legislative bodies have issued further legislative changes and procedural recommendations and relevant government departments have undergone structural changes. The VHA is reviewing and updating the integrity governance capability framework and action plan, and self-assessment tool, in line with these changes.
